Cost Savings and Improved Performance for Farm Equipment
Why Use Synthetics? Plain and simple: They’re better than non-synthetic lubricants. Synthetic lubricants are man-made products. They are chemically engineered, from the molecules up, and carefully formulated for specific lubrication tasks. AMSOIL synthetic lubricants outperform and outlast non-synthetic lubricants. They lubricate and protect better and longer, far beyond the limits of non-synthetic products. Discover how premium-quality AMSOIL Products SAVE MONEY, and how they help you maximize your equipment life and your profits!
AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants Make a Difference in Performance Long-Lasting Service: AMSOIL lubricants have a long service life. Non-synthetic lubes can break down from oxidation and heat. When that happens, they sludge-up, form deposits and have to be changed. AMSOIL lubricants resist breakdown, so they stay intact and run clean. This resistance to heat and oxidation prolongs the service life of AMSOIL synthetic lubricants, significantly extending drain intervals. Low Temperature Fluidity/High Temperature Stability: AMSOIL lubricants resist the effects of heat and cold far better than non-synthetic lubricants. AMSOIL synthetics will make the difference when starting an engine that’s cold, and cooling an engine that’s hot. Rust and Corrosion Protection: AMSOIL contains special additives to prevent rust and corrosion – a vital factor for equipment that sits idle or is stored for part of the year. Anti-Friction: AMSOIL lubricants are “super-slippery.” They are extremely effective in reducing friction and drag between moving parts, resulting in reduced wear, more efficient operation and better fuel economy. Versatile For Most Applications: In most cases, AMSOIL lubricants eliminate the need for specialty lubes. AMSOIL products meet or exceed the performance specifications of a wide variety of farm machinery.

AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oils Outstanding Performance At Extreme Temperatures AMSOIL Flows in the Cold Non-synthetic oils thicken rapidly as the temperature drops. In cold weather, this causes difficult starting as the engine fights to turn over against the semi-solid lubricant. Even if the engine starts, the cold, thick oil will not circulate immediately, which means some parts of the engine can run for up to five minutes without any lubrication at all. AMSOIL stays fluid at much lower temperatures. In cold weather, AMSOIL permits easier starting and instant lubrication throughout the entire engine. During starts and warm-ups, critical engine surfaces slide, protected by a tough, reliable film of oil between them. AMSOIL Takes the Heat A hard-working engine generates tremendous heat, a serious problem for non-synthetic lubricants. Oil thickening and oil consumption occur when high temperatures evaporate the lighter, more volatile portions of petroleum-based oil. Heat also causes oxidation, forming gummy sludges and varnishes. AMSOIL is heat-stable. AMSOIL resists volatile evaporation and thickening at high temperatures. It resists oxidation and inhibits the formation of engine deposits. Low volatility means reduced oil consumption. Reduced thickening promotes better fuel economy (because thick oil causes internal engine resistance) and better engine protection, especially during cold start-ups when thick oil doesn’t circulate properly. AMSOIL actually cools hot engines and gear boxes too, reducing stress on components and extending equipment life. Availability: AMSOIL synthetic motor oils are available in quart, gallon and 2.5-gallon containers, and 30- and 55-gallon drums. Performance: AMSOIL Synthetic Diesel Oils are fuel efficient, super-heavy-duty, multi-viscosity lubricants for use in light and heavy-duty diesel and gasoline engines. Their synthetic base stocks and proven long-life additives assure performance, economy, and outstanding protection over extended drain intervals. Because they meet and exceed the lubrication demands of virtually every light and heavy-duty diesel and gasoline engine, farmers with a variety of vehicles need only stock one of these “all-engine” oils for their vehicles and equipment. AMSOIL Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil (HDD) AMSOIL SAE 15W-40 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil (AME) AMSOIL SAE 15W-40 Synthetic Blend Heavy Duty Motor Oil (PCO) AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil (ACD) AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-40 Premium Diesel Oil (DEO) API Service CJ-4, CI-4 Plus, CF, CF-2, SL, CH-4, CG-4, SL AMSOIL Synthetic Gear Lubes (API GL-5/MT-1) Extreme Pressure Synthetic Gear Lubes 75W-90, 80W-90 75W-140, 80W-140 Farmers need to cut costs wherever and whenever they can. AMSOIL Synthetic Gear Lubes save money by making drive trains operate as efficiently as possible, for as long as possible. Reduce Friction: AMSOIL Synthetic Gear Lubes are blended with outstanding anti-friction properties. Friction in transmissions and differentials steals energy. Lost energy translates into less power and poor fuel economy. The superior “slipperiness” of AMSOIL Gear Lubes makes gear-boxes run cooler and easier. Components move with less resistance, even under heavy loads. Transmission parts last longer and the saved energy is transmitted to the wheels, allowing maximum use of every gallon of fuel. Reduce Wear: The outstanding extreme pressure and anti-wear properties of AMSOIL Synthetic Gear Lubes keep wear at an absolute minimum. The results: greater equipment reliability and less money spent on repairs, replacement parts, and costly down-time. AMSOIL helps keep equipment in the field and out of the shop! AMSOIL Cetane Boost AMSOIL Centane Boost (ACB) improves the ignition quality of fuel in all diesel engines by increasing fuel cetane three to seven numbers. ACB shortens the ignition delay period between fuel injection and combustion for improved diesel combustion efficiency and increased diesel engine power. ACB also enables diesel fuel to be ignited at a lower ambient temperature, neutralizing the white smoke common with cold starts. Engine knock is suppressed because ACB inhibits fuel pre-ignition. AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate (ADC) provides maximum diesel operating efficiency. It compensates for the variances in quality of different fuels (including biodiesel) and the deficiencies of today’s Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel fuel (ULSD) for better engine operation. AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate cleans dirty injectors, improving fuel economy by up to five percent and restoring horsepower to like new. The net savings on fuel expense can result in no additional cost to vehicle operation. AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate lubricates fuel pumps and injectors, minimizes soot loading, reduces cylinder wear and retains TBN longer. AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate also improves water tolerance, and works as a heating oil improver and fuel stabilizer. AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver (DFF) for diesel fuel is designed for use in Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel fuel (ULSD), yet works well with conventional fuels. It functions by modifying wax crystal formation at low temperatures to depress the pour point and improve cold flow filtration properties. AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver contains jet fuel-type deicer to help prevent ice formation in fuels contaminated with water. It is recommended for use with diesel engines and is compatible with diesel exhaust particulate filters (DPFs). AMSOIL Cold Flow Improver is excellent for use with AMSOIL Diesel Concentrate and AMSOIL Cetane Boost Additive.
Harvesting the Benefits of Using AMSOIL
Running combines and big road trucks six months out of the year is hard work, with not enough hours in the day.” Dutton uses AMSOIL 15W-40 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil in his three new John Deere 9600 combines, five Mack class 8 grain hauling trucks, Ford Powerstroke, plus many other smaller machines. Dutton knows the performance of his equipment is crucial to the success of his business. By using AMSOIL, Dutton says his equipment, especially his trucks, perform better and resist wear. “We have Dual Guard By-Pass Oil Filters mounted on the Macks to extend the oil changes. We put an average of 10,000 to 12,000 miles on these trucks per year, and they hold 13 gallons of oil each. Our combines run about 600 to 700 hours. If these were miles, it would probably be equivalent to 25,000 miles. “These are great machines, and AMSOIL gives them the best protection against wear while allowing them to start easier, run cooler and get the best fuel efficiency possible.” Dutton says, economically, AMSOIL is the logical choice. “If you put a pencil to it, AMSOIL motor oil is really cheaper than regular oil. Anyone could save money using AMSOIL.” |
